Hengrave - Miss Williams
HENGRAVE CLASS
Welcome back to school. We are delighted to have you back.
Hengrave class is a mixed year 4 and 5 class. The class teacher is Miss Williams and our Teaching Assisstant is Mrs Theobald.
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. On these days, please wear your PE kit to school.
This half term, our class will be working from this painting, Regatta on the Grand Canal by Canaletto in about 1735.
The scene depicts part of Venice and we will be locating Venice on a map and finding out more about Italy. Much like our Take one Picture project about Men of the Docks by George Bellows, the children will decide which elements of the painting are most important to them to focus our work on.
ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM
As per our letters, work for Hengrave will be set online. Your child will have a login to use via the website. Login using the dB button on the bottom right hand of this screen.
Working with adults online
As you know, you are able to email the adults in your community. This is a really useful thing to be able to do, as we can give feedback on your work and help with anything you find difficult. However, please try to keep your emails for things related to school.
If you need help, please email...if you have a question about the work, please email. If you need help keeping safe, definitely email- we will read what you say and do the right thing for you. There will always be adults who want to make sure you are ok.
Staff will reply to emails about school things, but are unlikely to write back for a chat. We hope that you understand that we will be busy marking, helping with etc. When possible, we'll pop on to the forums to check in with you all.
Our book for this half term is The Thief Lord written by Cornelia Funke. It is set in Venice. We are looking forward to seeing if our predictions anout the book are right.
